Here's the translation: "I helped a young newcomer to society out of a tough spot. Then he ended up sticking to me. Taking advantage of my drunken state, he confessed to me: 'Sister, I'm already an adult.' Me: ..."

Chapter 1 The Company Chat Group Buzzed With Excitement.

I just helped a handsome young man out of a sticky situation, only to have him cling to me afterward.

While I was tipsy, he confessed, "Hey, I'm all grown up now."

I was speechless.

1

After the meeting ended, I deliberately left the projector on and sent Braden Howard a message via Whatsapp.

"I'll be home late. Remember to bring in the clothes which I hung out to dry in the laundry room."

Braden quickly replied with a question mark, and followed by, "Ms. Todd, may I ask which day I did not help you with the laundry, cooking, collecting clothes and running a bath?"

The company chat group buzzed with excitement.

As my colleagues gossiped wildly, I contentedly turned off the my phone.

Not long after, Braden called me directly, "Hannah Todd, what did you do?"

I replied calmly, "Nothing, just subtly informed the colleagues of company that my assistant and I are married."

2

When Braden came to my office, I had just finished a video conference.

I looked up, a slight smile playing on my lips, asking, "Aren't you on vacation? Why are you coming back at the office?"

With a click, the door was locked by Braden. Without a word, he walked to my side and took my hand into the break room.

I feigned reluctance, saying, "This is the office, we should be mindful of appearances." Despite my words, I let him lead me.

Braden turned around and quietly stared at me for a few moments.

He had those captivating eyes, with long, narrow corners that naturally exuded a deep affection when he looked at someone.

My gaze fell on his neck, where a conspicuous hickey which was my handiwork stood out.

The first time I met Braden was at a party.

I had been doused in red wine by a rival, turning my designer dress into rags and stripping me of both dignity and comfort.

A suit jacket was draped over me, and the suit jacket was carrying a faint fragrance of oranges which mingled with the strong aroma of wine.

I looked up and saw a handsome young man standing in front of me.

I could tell he was young despite his height of over six feet, broad shoulders, and long legs, because the purity in his eyes couldn't deceive anyone, which seasoned business veterans lacked.

Clean and pureness.

He led me away from that awkward place.

I thanked him.

He casually replied, "You're welcome," and handed me a handkerchief from his pocket to wipe myself.

The handkerchief was silk, embroidered with a rose, touching it as smoothly as water. As I lowered my head to wipe, he quietly left.

The second time we met was at the company.

An HR interviewer came to inform me, "During the interview, a college student got into a fight."

In the case of a serious incident at my company, I definitely need to handle it personally.

To my surprise, the assaulter was the young man who had helped me before, while the victim was Johnny Marsh, the heir of Horizon Technologies Group.

Anyone with common sense wouldn't choose to offend the heir of a rival company, especially when I was planning to collaborate with Horizon Technologies Group. It would be beneficial to build goodwill for future collaboration.

But when the young man looked up and our eyes met, his beautiful eyes seemed to be filled with starlight, so pure that were hard to look at directly. My heart skipped a beat.

HR asked how to handle the situation.

Both of them were injured, he had a bloody at the corner of his mouth. But Johnny was worse off, his nose seemingly broken and bleeding.

I instructed them to go to the hospital for a check-up.

Sitting in the hospital corridor's seat, I pondered how to help the young man out of this predicament.

I had learned the general situation. Johnny and he were fellow students in the same department. Johnny had toyed with his sister and then denied any involvement. On the day of the interview, Johnny had deliberately humiliated his sister in front of him, nearly driving his sister to despair.

That's what led to the altercation.

To be Honest, Johnny was truly despicable jerk. If it were me, I wouldn't just hit him and I'd make him pay for his action.

But we're adults, and even when dealing with ‌bastard, we must use adult methods.

Braden soon emerged.

His injuries weren't severe and just needed some minor treatment, but I knew the emotional impact was far greater.

"I'm sorry for causing you trouble," he said, bowing slightly.

"Do you want my help?" I asked.

He looked up, his gaze inscrutable as he stared at me.

I pulled out the handkerchief he had given me and waved it gently, saying, "Consider it repayment for your help that day."

"No need," he said, clenching his fists slightly, as if struggling, added, "This is my own business."

I smiled faintly, saying, "If you become my personal assistant, it won't just be your business."

He looked up sharply.

"Braden, right?" I said, "I've reviewed your resume. You're excellent and meet my requirements, so I'd like to hire you as my personal assistant. Are you interested?"

A personal assistant would also be responsible for my daily life, including driving.

He didn't accept immediately.

I stood up and walked over to him.

He was tall, about six feet two, with a clear jawline and an Adam's apple bobbed in his throat that hinted at the burgeoning sensuality of a man.

My heart fluttered slightly.

"You're still not convinced, are you?"I asked.

He trembled slightly.

I smirked and said, "If you're not convinced, then prove yourself."

3

I suppressed incident of Braden hitting someone.

Johnny's father, Jared Marsh, personally invited me to dinner. I knew it wasn't a friendly invitation, but in the unpredictable business environment, there were things you must do even if you don't want to.

Before the dinner, I called Braden.

"I'm going to a dinner tonight. Come and drive for me."

Braden was silent.

"What, unwilling or can't drive?" I asked.

I had investigated his background. He and his sister came from a poor rural area, and Braden had worked his way at school to get by.

Struggling to make ends meet, he wouldn't have had the leisure to think about cars.

"I have a driver's license," Braden replied calmly.

When he drove a limousine worth over six million dollars for the first time, I expected him to be flustered, but to my surprise, he handled it with ease. I glanced at the champagne on the console, which hadn't even wobbled.

"You drive very smoothly," I complimented.

He thanked me, eyes focused ahead, completely absorbed.

My gaze settled on his hands.

His hands were beautiful, with long fingers and smooth nails which were clean and neat, just like him.

After getting out of the car, I told him to park it, giving him some freedom to do as he pleased until I called.

He nodded and said, "I'll be waiting in the garage."

I suddenly moved closer to him.

Up close, his face was even more strikingly handsome, and his eyes reflected my image. The dark eyes held a hint of panic, a stark contrast to the fierce look he had during his last confrontation.

It made me yearning for him.

"You don't have to be so uptight," I said, standing just inches away. "In our line of work, you need to make use of everything and everyone around you, including time. Understand?"

I tossed him the car keys and elegantly turned away.

I once had a male assistant who initially seemed as harmless as a kitten, obedient and sensible. But under the table, he was using my power to flirt around.

If it weren't for a girl who pregnant with his child coming to me, he would still be saying, "Ms. Todd, you are the person I admire the most."

This was just the first test I set for Braden.

As I suspected, Jared indeed came prepared, using his son's situation to try and collaborate with me on the DR project.

I chuckled to myself. I was already in the final stages of completing the project, and he wanted to swoop in at the last minute?

Wishful thinking.

In the end, with my deft verbal dexterity, Jared didn't get his way.

I came out on top in this negotiation, and he didn't.

After drinking some strong liquor, I felt a bit dizzy. As I wobbled in my high heels, a steady arm catching me.

A fresh, unique aroma enveloped me.

"How much have you had to drink?"

It was Braden. He asked, holding my arm with one hand and supporting me with the other, gentlemanly and considerate.

I asked him, slightly tipsy, "Didn't you leave?"

"Where would I go?" he asked, puzzled.

"I left you the car keys," I hinted, added, "That car is quite a prize."

As clever as Braden was, he quickly understood my words. His handsome face darkened instantly. If I weren't drunk, he might have thrown me to the ground.

"What kind of person do you think I am?" he asked.

Not that kind of person?

Even better.

He passed the first test.

Sitting in the car, the night breeze gradually dispelled my drunkenness. By the time the car reached my home's gate, I had already sobered up.

The back seat's door was opened, and Braden's handsome face appeared in front of me.

"Here's your car key back. Also, I've changed my mind. I don't want to be your assistant anymore," Braden said.

4

Why the sudden change of his mind?

"If there's anything you're unhappy with, you can tell me. I'll try to accommodate..." I asked.

"No need," Braden replied.

He cut me off, his eyes were indifference and distant, added, "You can't even offer the most basic respect on me." With that, he turned around and walked away, his tall figure disappearing into the darkness.

This was a villa in the suburbs, with almost no other vehicles. Was he planning to walk back?

So young, yet so temperamental.

He needed to be more seasoned.

I stopped him, saying, "Think it carefully. I'll give you one more chance. If you refuse me now, it'll be too late to ask for my help when you regret it later."

He didn't look back.

"Don't you want to get justice for your sister?" I added.

His tall figure stood in the darkness.

I had already investigated Braden's weakness which was his sister, Jordyn Howard.

Braden and Jordyn were identical twins, with Jordyn being five minutes older. Jordyn adored her brother and would do anything for him.

When the Scholastic Assessment Test's results came out, Jordyn had also done well. But the family could only afford to send one of them to school. Jordyn resolutely gave up her future for Braden's sake.

To stay close and take care of her brother, Jordyn moved to the city where Braden was. She managed to find a job at the school, Because of her beauty, it also led her to meet Johnny.

Johnny toyed with women recklessly, and Jordyn, lacking social experience, was quickly deceived by Johnny and got pregnant.

That day at the hospital, Braden's eyes were filled with hatred and pain.

But he was powerless.

I got out of the car and walked up to him, glancing at his clenched fists. I had a pretty good sense of what he was thinking.

"It's late. Come back with me." I said.

He didn't move.

I didn't bother with him, turning to leave. After a few steps, I heard steady footsteps behind me.

A slight smile tugged at my lips.

Inside the villa, it was just Braden and me. Katie Fuller who was ‌housekeeper had gone home due to a family matter.

"You'll stay in the second room on the second floor. It has everything you need," I instructed him, added, "After you shower, come to my room."

After my shower, I lounged on the bed, casually flipping through a magazine.

About half an hour later, footsteps approached the door.

After three knocks, I said, "Come in."

Braden entered. He dressed in simple sportswear, his damp black hair exuding youthful energy.

"Ms. Todd, did you need something?" Braden asked, his expression was indifferent.

"Can't we just chat?" I teased him, "I drank, and my whole body aches. I can't sleep."

He was silent.

And then a minute later, he started taking off his clothes.

First, he took off his jacket, revealing a white T-shirt underneath.

The thin T-shirt outlined his well-toned physique, and I could faintly see his abs. My gaze lingered on him for a moment.

The next, he was pulling me to the bed.

My heart sank.

I had overestimated him.

I thought he would be different from my previous assistant, but in the end, he was just the same...

He clearly failed the second test.

His strong hands pressed down on me.

Then, without a word, he adjusted my posture, making me lie face down, pinning my calf with his knee, and placing a hand on my back...

5

I was surprised, but seeing his skilled movements, I began to suspect. Why was he so familiar with luxury cars? Why was he at high-society parties?

Could it be that he only appeared innocent but was actually experienced?

I watched him intently, curious about what he would do next.

"Turn your head and close your eyes," he said hoarsely.

"What are you planning?" I stared at him.

His face flushed under my gaze, but his voice remained steady, "Just do as I say."

I turned my head, curious to see what trick he had up his sleeve.

The next moment, I let out a startled cry.
