To pay the debt, she substituted for the bride and married him, the devil everyone feared and respected. She’s desperate and out of options. He’s ruthless and out of patience. He took a bite of her sweetness, and gradually submitted to the addictive lust. Before he came to his realization, he was already unable to extricate himself from her. Desire triggered their story, but how would this conditional love continue?

Chapter 1 She Was Just A Substitute

"Dad, please. I don't want to marry a total stranger. Please don't force me into such a marriage!" Ayla Woodsen was kneeling on the floor in front of Clayton, her adoptive father. Tears ran down her cheeks and her delicate face was twisted with an expression of deep pain. She pulled on Clayton's sleeve as she begged.

Clayton looked at her sternly and said coldly, "If you don't marry him, it will be your elder sister who would have to. I have raised you all these years, Ayla. Now I want you to do something for me in return. Marry this man for your sister's sake!" From Clayton's tone, it was clear that his decision was made and nothing Ayla said or did could change his mind.

Ayla clasped her hands fervently and begged the man she called "Dad" all the more. "Dad, you know I like Toby. He promised he would come back and marry me. I can't marry anyone else." She prayed in her heart that her father would change his mind.

However, Clayton was adamant. "If Toby really wants to marry you, why hasn't he called you all these years? Come on, Ayla, don't be fooled. It is obvious that he has no intention of marrying you."

"But..."

"Enough! I owe Mr. Clark a huge amount of money and I can't pay it back! Do you want his men to beat me to death?" Clayton snapped.

At this point, Ayla's eyes were blurred by tears. She knew that her fate was sealed and there was nothing she could do. She slowly let down her hands.

Suddenly, the front door was kicked open in a loud bang and several strong men all dressed in black came in.

"Mr. Clark wants to see you now," one of the men said coldly.

"Where are you taking me?" Ayla hid herself in a corner of the room. She looked scared and was shaking all over.

Two men rudely pulled her up and dragged her out.

She resisted and struggled to free herself, but all went in vain.

......

An hour later, in the presidential suite of Hyatt Hotel

Ayla was thrown heavily to the floor by her abductors.

"Look at me, Arlene Woodsen," Brian Clark said calmly. Though his voice was low, his tone was cold enough to stop Ayla from thinking about running.

Arlene Woodsen was in fact her elder sister. However, Ayla couldn't tell this man that.

"Are you really trying to pretend to be innocent?" Brian asked leisurely with his legs crossed as he stared casually at the woman on the floor in front of him.

At this moment, a rough voice sounded close to Ayla's ear. "Didn't you hear Mr. Clark?"

The next second, her chin was raised ruthlessly. Everyone in the room saw her face clearly, and she could also see the man sitting in the middle of the room.

"Wow, she's a pretty chick, Mr. Clark. No wonder so many men want her," someone commented.

Ayla was indeed a very beautiful woman. She was only nineteen years old, and she had a very curvy body.

"Are you scared?" Brian finally stood up from the sofa and looked down at her.

"I... I..." Ayla stammered, but she couldn't say anything. She just didn't know what to say, especially to a man like Brian.

"Miss Woodsen, I heard that you are a social butterfly. Rumor has it that night clubs are your second home and you have countless sex partners. What are you so scared of now?" A scornful smile appeared on Brian's face as he spoke. If he hadn't heard about Arlene's reputation, he might have been fooled by the innocent look on the face of this woman.

"That's not true!" Ayla finally mustered the courage to speak. She couldn't accept to be treated like a frivolous woman, which she was not.

Brian was confused by what she said. What wasn't true? Did she mean she didn't have sex partners or that she wasn't scared?

However, he didn't bother to ask.

"All right, all right. Let's go! We'd better not ruin Mr. Clark's mood," the leading man in black said.

The next moment, all the men left the room.

There were only Brian and Ayla in the room now.

Brian looked at her and pointed at a seat next to him. "Sit here," he said coldly.

Ayla got up nervously and sat down. Then, he handed her a glass of red wine. "Drink it!"

"I don't drink," she said, shaking her head in refusal. She actually was not a drinker.

Brian waggled the glass in his hand lightly and seemed thoughtful for a while. This girl was really interesting. After a while, his cold voice sounded again.

"If you don't want to drink, then go to bed."
