Human mermaid

I've always wanted to be human.

I've always wanted to eat and dine with humans. My mother won't let me neither would the clan wants such. I was the princess, the successor.

My name is Eloise. I'm the princess of a very distant clan. Why do i say distant?. We aren't near to other mermaids. We are the linage of Poseidon, the god of the sea. We are the goddesses and we ain't ordinary mermaids. The other clan fears us greatly because we are so much powerful than they are.

The most annoying part of who i really was, was that the other clans could become human but we can't unless we appeared into the form of a human body. We are goddesses and we are meant to be worshipped. That boring life pisses the shit out of me. I was one and only princess, the successor of the throne of Marizuana.

A servant knocked lightly at my door and i snapped my eyes open. I had been daydreaming of being human again and i needed not to be disturbed. The knock came again, this time louder and i quickly moved out of my bed. I opened my door to reveal a smiling Yara. "What do you want?, and what's that smile on your face?" I asked walking back to my bed.

"The heiress requests for your presence, Eloise. And she brings good news" I rolled my eyes. Only she calls me by my name.

"What good news could she bring?, other than to talk about my marriage to Lucas"

She smiled lightly and took my hands in hers.

"I don't think it's something of such, princess. Why don't you go on and find out?"

I walked into the royal throne and the maids bowed respectfully. I reached infront of the throne and payed respect to my mother. "Odile" She breathed out and smiled. She dropped a golden cup on a tray and dismissed the maid.

"Yes, mother."

"There's a village. A small village in Africa. I need you for a task"

Africa?. That's in the human world. What does she want me to do?.

"The men punishes my children, killed the women and i'm greatly disturbed. Those women are my children and they should be treated fairly." I moved closer to her and looked into her eyes. "What do you want me to do?" I asked. I was angry, my mother was not happy at how they treated women in this village. She was greatly disturbed. " That, i would need you to be born into the human world. Make them pay for how they treated my children. Make them understand that the women and the men have equal rights."

I was overwhelmed. I danced all the way to my room. My prayers are been answered and my wish granted. I was finally going into the human world.

Narrator's pov

A beautiful woman stood behind her window. She watched servants quietly do their work respectively. She slowly rubbed her protruding tommy happily. Finally, she was pregnant for the king. She was the King's favorite wife and had remained barrened and now she was four months gone. Dressed in her full regalia, she stepped out of the palace and walking down the hallway to meet the king.

The king turned happily to see his pregnant wife at his door. He dropped the papers on the table and stood up. "How're you faring?,queen Gaga"

"I just want to see you before heading to the prietess shrine" He moved her closer to him and brushed his lips at hers. She was glowing everyday. He thought within himself. "You've found favor in the eyes of the goddess "

"I've always been a child of the goddess. Remember, the goddess gave me this child" He smiled and cupped her cheeks. Her dark skin extremely shiny and her pink lips alluring. "Alright. I won't keep the goddess waiting. We do not know the ways of the gods"

On her way, she found Dowager coming straight to the King's chambers. Dowager frowned knowing fully she was just coming out of the king's chamber. She was not pleased. Queen Gaga bowed to the senior queen.

"I see. You never cease to go into the King's chamber" Gaga smiled. "Haha. He is my husband. I can't live a second without him"

"He is our husband. You can't possibly have him when you like. It's my turn today, isn't it?"

Before she could reply, the queen walked past her. She sighed and started her journey to the cave with her maids behind.

Having seated on the stool, the priestess turned towards her with a gentle smile. She knew instantly that everything was fine with the child. "The baby is a savior. she will be born to save us."

"Am i going to give birth to another child?" She couldn't help but asked.Knowing the child to be her first fruit, and knowing the child wasn't ordinary, she wanted to know if she could possibly take in again. "You'll give birth to another. The child is a blessing and she would open your womb so that you experience the joy of motherhood"

She knelt down and bowed to the golden statue. "Hail..the mother of the sea. Thank you so much for finding me worthy to give birth to the savior. I'm blessed, queen mother"
